Should You Transition to NATURAL HAIR???

     So, since the last time I've posted (2011) many things have changed. One being I've successfully transitioned to natural hair and big chopped in August 2012. Over the past few years "going natural" has become a huge trend. From TV to hair products to the new "look", natural hair has taken over. With this there have been many people successfully and unsuccessfully transitioning or just going straight for the big chop. Many people are unsure of the reasons that they decided to stop processing their hair whether it be because of the trend or because of their own personal choice.

     

      Surprisingly I'm not a "natural hair Nazi" as many people are referred to. I think all hair is beautiful, processed and unprocessed. I think it is truly about what the individual loves. If someone big chops for the wrong reason and isn't comfortable with their hair, it will show. The public will love whatever your confidence persuades them to love. It doesn't matter if you have purple hair, if you are confident, people will love it.

      Natural hair comes with a big responsibility. Not just because alot of people only use "homemade" products it's because it's your NATURAL hair. Every one's hair is different and it takes time, money, and much effort to find out what works for your hair. 

I feel the most important conclusion you need to make before you transition is, one, are you ready for the responsibility, and two, are you making the choice because of your own opinion or someone else's.

New Year, New Me?

Happy New Year! Welcome 2014 and along with that being said New Year, New Me!!....no? Yeah I figured that saying was a bit played out. Anyhow, this past year has been amazing. I have learned so much about myself and came to the conclusion that I'm just not very content with my life. Long story short I'm taking the initiative to figure out what path I should be on in life. I feel like i'm in the middle of a severe mid-life crisis but i'm 19! I think getting this blog back up and running will be a well needed accomplishment and will better me on the road to..recovery?......let's go with self improvement.

Miguel "All I Want Is You" album review coming really soon!!!!

  Yay! So excited to announce that today I went to Target and got Miguel's Album! It was $9.99 and I can't wait to listen to all the songs. Check back soon because there's gonna be a review. Oh and I tagged him in a tweet saying I got the album so hopefully he retweets or comments lol.

Nicki Minaj Pink Friday Review!

So I recently just heard Nicki Minaj's new album and I have to say....I love it. I will admit, some of the songs had to grow on me but that's common with a lot of albums.Luckily, the songs on the album are just as good as the singles unlike some albums. It's not too many featured artists on there but the ones that are sound really good. I really like how all the songs sound different. The songs I can't stop listening to have to be ,im the best, save me, moment 4 life, Romans revenge, blazin, last chance, and fly...pretty much all of them now that I think about it lol I remember when she first started out rapping she had a lot of haters...well a lot more lol, and no one believed she would last and look were she is now; and you know she had to be good to be on Young Money! I'm really excited for her now that she's really made it and I can tell she's gonna be around for a while.

Rihanna's new album loud

 Hey everyone, so I recently heard some songs off Rihanna's new album and I have to say I really like it. I still love her last album Rated R and alot of times its hard to top a good album like that but she showed its possible. Truthfully I haven't heard every song of the album but from what I've heard I've got to go buy it! lol A few of them I can't stop listening to have to be cheers, complicated, raining men, man down, california king bed, and love the way you lie part 2. She really has some deep emotional songs on there as well as some great fast songs. Califonia king bed was a really sad song about a bad relationship and love the way you lie part 2 was really good too. While I'm buying albums I really need to pick up Nikki Minaj's new album Pink Friday I heard its preety good too!

The New High School Sophomore! lol

Hey Everyone! So on August 12th, I started my sophomore year of high school. I was really excited(more about seeing my friends lol). It was so great to see my friends, meet new teachers, and just get a whole new look at the school. It is so amazing to me how easy it is to spot a freshman! (no offence to any freshiess lol) They look so young and you can tell most of them are still growing so it looks kinda awkward lol. Even though I can't talk most people think I'm 12 lol. I remember this lady at a wedding came up to me when i was fourteen, she said "wow, you've gotten so big, how old are you 11!) Now usually, I try to hide when I have an attitude, but this one I couldn't control lol. I'm standing there like "no! I'm fourteen" and my moms looking like "oh my goodness, did she really just say 11?!" Well, so far this school year has been going good for me. Trying to really keep my grades up!(even though chemistry is killing me lol) I really want to do more this year. Last year I was in the fashion show, a musical, I played soccer, and I was in the group called young ladies of elegance, but I didn't really have time because it was all year and there were other things I wanted to do. So enough of me talking and talking lol. How was your first day of school? Did anyone just start middle school, high school, or college!?
